Binions licence terms

1. The set

Binions is licensed as a set — the complete set of Binions daemons. Daemons are not licensed individually; a licence always covers the whole set on one host. If new daemons are added to the set, your licence covers them within the same major version at no extra cost.

2. Free non-commercial licence

You may run one set on one host, free of charge, for non-commercial use only. Non-commercial use includes personal/hobby projects, home labs, education, registered charities, and evaluation/testing.

The free licence covers versions 1.0.0 through 1.9.9. A new major version (e.g. 2.0.0) requires a new licence.

The free licence requires only a portal account and acceptance of these terms. You self-certify that your use is non-commercial.

3. Commercial use is paid

Any commercial use requires a paid commercial licence, per host, from the first host. Commercial use means use in or for a business, or to generate revenue. Commercial licensees must provide company identification (legal name, address, and business country) before a commercial licence is issued.

4. Additional hosts

The free licence covers your first host only. Every additional host requires a paid set licence — whether your use is commercial or not.

5. One host per licence

Each set licence binds to a single host fingerprint. Releasing a licence (e.g. when decommissioning a host) invalidates its token; a fresh token is issued for re-use on a new host. Misuse — including using a free non-commercial licence commercially — terminates the licence.

6. Enterprise licence

The prices, limits and conditions above describe the regular business licence. Deployments needing more — multi-host or site-wide licensing, service levels, individually negotiated liability terms, compliance or audit requirements, air-gapped installations, or bespoke work — are covered by an enterprise licence, agreed directly with us. 7. Prices and terms may change

All prices, limits and commercial conditions may change at any time; a change applies to purchases made on or after the date it is published. A change never applies retrospectively to a licence you already bought — that licence keeps covering its set on its host for its major version on the terms you bought it under.

8. Warranties and liability

Binions is supplied “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and it is not intended for safety-critical use. You are responsible for the automations you configure, the systems they act upon and the data they process.
